NBA 2K23 was top-downloaded game this month throughout the US and Canada

Starting on PS5 titles, NBA 2K23 was the most downloaded game on PSN at the end of September North America, while FIFA 23 was the top video game on the PSN in Europe (which isn't a surprise given how FUT 23 Coins popular football is in that region). Another release from September, The Last of Us Part 1 came in third place in both regions.


Switching to PS4, NBA 2K23 was top-downloaded game this month throughout the US and Canada, while FIFA 23 took the top place in Europe. For PSVR Games, Beat Saber was the No. top game in both North America and Europe, with Job Simulator and Superhot VR placing second and third in both regions.


Free-to-play games on PS5 and PS4 as a whole, Fortnite was the most-downloaded game in the US and Canada and Canada, while Rumbleverse was the most played free-to play game in Europe.

Sony has plans to be ambitious for its next generation of virtual reality hardware with plans in the near future to get 2 million copies of the PSVR 2 headset ready by the end of March in 2019.


Mass production of the virtual reality headset has reportedly begun at the end of September (via Bloomberg) and has not yet encountered shortages in the supply chain. With the PS5 continuing to be highly sought-after due to its low availability since it launched in November of 2020, Sony plans to also have additional FIFA 23 Coins buy consoles available by the end of 2023, according Bloomberg's sources.
